Kent and Kay Duo
Kay Ellingson and this talented group of musicians have performed together professionally for more than 15 years.
Each brings expertise honed from playing a variety of musical styles - jazz, pop, blues, country and swing, in a variety of venues across the Dallas / Fort Worth metro-plex, across the country and around the world.
Together, their experience, artistry and passion play-out like there is no end. The group has performed at Dallas Museum of Art’s Thursday Night Jazz as well as local jazz clubs, private parties and corporate events.

Kay Ellingson, Vocals
Kay has been singing in the Dallas area for years. She continues to perform with Dallas' best party band, but loves the opportunity to sing jazz with the K Ellingson group. She has been the featured vocalist in jazz concerts at Eastfield Community College in Mesquite and performed in Northlake College's Big Band Jazz program in Irving.
Kent Ellingson, Piano
Kent has been a part of the Dallas music scene since the early 1980's. He has performed in jazz groups for years and has played in concert with many jazz greats, including Randy Brecker, Kevin Mahogany, Clark Terry, and Greg Bissonett.
Dan Robins, Drums
For the past 25 years Dan Robins has been playing music with some of Dallas' most popular bands and most respected musicians. Known for his ability to play a variety of styles, he has enjoyed a successful career as a freelance artist as well as being the leader of his own group.
Mark Wilson, Bass
Mark says he began his music career at the age of 5, "singing and dancing for the little old ladies in his neighborhood of St. Louis, MO." But hearing the music of Stan Getz and Oscar Peterson, Mark discovered his love for jazz and began his lifelong pursuit of jazz. He studied and performed jazz in St. Louis for several years before moving to Texas to pursue an education at the University of North Texas and a career in jazz bass. Mark has performed on bass with Roberta Flack, Dianne Carroll, Mac Davis, Joel Gray and The Fifth Dimension.
Ron Jones, Jazz Saxophone
Ron has performed at many notable venues including Las Vegas’ Bellagio; New York’s 55 Bar, Birdland, Blue Note and Waldorf Astoria; and Chicago’s Buddy Guys’ Legends. He has recorded two original jazz CDs, written music for CNN, recorded with Al Green and Teo Macero, and jammed onstage with Smokey Robinson, Mick Fleetwood and Kirk Whalum.
